Tips for Outdoor Meditation
Meditation
is one of the most therapeutic aspect in health. It is a practice that is
commonly and originally done by the Indians, but recently is spreading to other
parts of the world too. It is a practice where you spend time alone without
speaking to other people and instead focus more about your own life. It has
proved to help in many situations such as being spiritually, mentally and
physically fit.
Meditation
can be done either indoors or outdoors where you get to interact with the
nature during that whole period. Most people are not acquainted with the
outdoor meditation as it is less common but also great. To have your meditation
outdoors, it is important that you go out to a place where there is nature
around you such as trees, animals, shrubs, streams or rocks. Then locate the
best spot and sit comfortably. Shut your eyes and begin with taken deep breaths
up to the stomach. This helps to relax your entire body, which includes the
mind and soul.
Continue
doing this for up to 5 minutes as you take keen attention of the nature around
you. Listen to the birds singing, the waters of the river flowing, the
whistling of the trees and the feeling of the breeze in the atmosphere. This
helps to calm you down and alleviate good feelings as well as an appreciation
of the nature. Ensure that your mind does not wonder away from your center of
focus and whenever it does bring it back. You can also decide to focus on one
aspect only for instant the bird’s melody. You can also focus on particular
smells especially those that are pleasant.
At the end
when you open your eyes you will feel like a new man due to the experience you
will have had during meditation.
